We are continually inspired by Danny Meyer's vision and Union Square Hospitality Group's employee-centric culture. As USHG's first-ever Chief Culture Officer, Erin Moran is responsible for strengthening and growing USHG’s culture of Enlightened Hospitality and overseeing all aspects of the employee experience. USHG Founder and CEO Danny Meyer hired Erin in October 2013 following a year-long collaboration between USHG and Great Place to Work, where Erin previously served as EVP of US Business. Erin spent nearly a decade at GPTW, studying the workplace culture of organizations included on the 100 Best Companies to Work For list, and working directly with clients to create and sustain their own great workplaces.
At USHG, Erin’s work has focused on strengthening employees’ engagement with the company’s mission and values and evolving USHG’s employer value proposition through human resources and organizational strategies. Most recently, Erin has worked with Danny and USHG’s executive team to plan and implement Hospitality Included, a massive organizational initiative to eliminate tipping throughout USHG’s family of restaurants.
Joe Pine has always said he didn't invent the Experience Economy or other concepts he's credited with creating, rather he discovered them. This talent for identifying real-world experiences, recognizing patterns and conceptualizing meaningful models for action has been a huge influence at Wisetail and is woven throughout our culture. We believe treating employees like customers is essential to being a great place to work and understanding the power of experience and authenticity are key elements to making it happen. At APEX4 Joe will apply his thinking around the Experience Economy and the power of Authenticity to help us all understand how to better create memorable, impactful learning programs.
Aaron Draplin is the driving force behind Draplin Design Co. A powerhouse in the design world, he has worked on projects with Nike, Burton Snowboards, Patagonia, Target, Ford Motor Company, Woolrich and even the Obama Administration. Focusing on print, identity, and illustration, Draplin Design Co. prides itself on a high level of craftsmanship and quality. At APEX4 Aaron will draw from his rich experiences to help us all see how huge of an impact design can make in the Learning & Development world.
APEX4 begins with a State of Wisetail presentation from Justin. Each year he takes advantage of the opportunity to speak directly to a room full our clients to share our vision for the year ahead. This year he will be introducing new thinking around LMS ROI and its impact on the future of our company and the Wisetail client community at large.
In what has become one of the most - if not the most - highly anticipated sessions at our APEX conference, Wisetail CTO Matt Griffith will introduce the features and functionality contained in the new product release for APEX4. He will also lay out the product development roadmap for the year to come.
